Our process for working with new clients is to first have an initial 15 minute call to find out about each other. This gives us a chance to find out more about you and your business and for you to ask us any initial questions that you might have about us. If, after this initial call, it sounds like we would be a good fit to work together, then we will book a Strategy Meeting which will take place online via Teams. This meeting can last up to an hour and enables us to really find out about the goals and objectives that you are looking to achieve in both your business and your personal life. In this meeting, we will also go through a live proposal for the accounting services that you need. We build our proposals in collaboration with our clients so that our fee structure is transparent and understandable. Your proposal and engagement letter will then be emailed to you whilst we are in the meeting. Once you have read through them, if you are happy to come onboard with Calathea Accounting, you will then be able to electronically sign both your proposal and engagement letter and we can start working together immediately.

We have a robust IT system in place to ensure that your data is secure when shared with us. Both our CRM and email accounts, have enhanced security to ensure your data is protected.

Xero is our preferred accounting software to use. It is great for all businesses and our clients love it We are Xero Certified which means we can be experts in using it so that you don’t have to!

Using Xero will mean that all of your business transactions and financial information are stored in one central place. When running a business, you need to be able to access accurate, up to date financial data at the click of a button and Xero enables you to do this. You can access it from anywhere, at any time to ensure your business is run efficiently. It is a must for all businesses to enable them to keep track of their profit margins, cashflow, income and expenses. No more paper bags full of receipts!

We do not have set pricing plans as our pricing depends on the different accounting services that each individual business needs. All businesses are different and we do not take a one size fits all approach to how we work with our clients. Our aim is to build a close relationship with our clients so that we can understand what accountancy support each client needs, at what time. This starts with having a Strategy Session with each potential client so that we can go through a live proposal together so that our pricing structure is shown in a transparent and collaborative way.

We are always available to answer any technical issues or problems that you might encounter. We encourage our clients to contact us regularly either via a call, an email or a WhatsApp. We are not the type of accountants that will only speak to you once a year when your financial accounts or tax return needs completing. We are frequently in contact with our clients as this ensures that we are able to get to know them and provide proactive advice, rather than reactive advice.
